I was going over my blog schedule and beginning to plan things out for October when I realized that not only do I not have the time to do all the writing, editing, and photographs needed for this many posts (about 3-5 a week), but I also don’t have time for all the recipes, projects, and random things I want to share.
I’m planning my blog like I do this full-time, and I don’t. I work a full-time job, I enjoy writing books, and I’m working really hard on my mental health while preparing for my baby that’s on the way!
I’ve realized that there is absolutely no point in pushing so much content out because I’ve been focusing more on quantity over quality, and that is definitely not the answer to being successful in the blogosphere.
I absolutely LOVE writing and blogging, and my goal is to go full-time eventually and be able to stay home with my son and future children. I want to be there and be present, while also bringing in my own paycheck and have the ability to let my creativity flow. It would be the best of both worlds for me!
With my goals in mind, I’ve decided the best thing for me to do would be to cut back on my workload and post only twice a week. For now, I’ll only be posting twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays, and cutting out my recaps. Cutting out my recaps is by far the hardest part for me, but with the way my life is right now, I just can’t commit to a solid recap every week. I’m not able to put my all into it, so until I can make some changes in my life, I’ll just have to cut them out and refocus.
I’ll be blogging mostly about mental health (with a focus on anxiety and depression), pregnancy, relationships, and the law of attraction all with my own personal experience.
I really just wanted to share my plans with those who read so everyone knows that the change isn’t laziness or neglect. It is intentional, and that’s why! If you have any suggestions on topics or articles you’d like to see, let me know! I really love writing what you guys want to see!
Other bloggers, how many times a week do you post?
