One of my biggest pet peeves when I’m reading blogs, articles, or books, is coming across ridiculous grammar, spelling, and punctuation mistakes. In fact, one of my top favorite bloggers (as much as I adore her blog) usually has quite a few, and it just drives me up a wall. In my personal opinion, it looks unprofessional and lazy.

Bad grammar, spelling, and punctuation can easily make your reader(s) lose interest in your work, even if your content is excellent. I’ve given up on reading blogs and articles (even if they were great) simply because the poor grammar completely turned me off.

Mistakes are super easy to make, especially when you’re really caught up in the content, and that’s okay! When I’m writing a blog post or working on one of my books, I could care less about anything but my content, but once I have my content perfected it’s time to clean it up, and you should too! Why do we still continue to have such sloppy work put out into the world when we have such incredible tools to help us out now?

A couple months ago, I discovered an amazingly helpful and easy program that I use to check everything I write. This beautiful new tool is called Grammarly.

I have become completely obsessed. In the past month, I haven’t released a blog post without using Grammarly to clean up all of my misplaced commas, misspelled and overused words, and ongoing sentences. Like I said, mistakes are easy to make, but Grammarly takes all of the pressure of “perfect grammar” right out of your hands and does the work for you.

All of my product reviews are completely honest and based on my own personal experience so I will tell you that Grammarly is, by no means, perfect. There have been a few times while editing that it gets confused by my writing and doesn’t understand that what I’m writing might have actually been intentional, even if it’s grammatically incorrect, but that’s technology. I have yet to come across a deal breaker!

In addition to using Grammarly to clean up my blog posts, I also use it to perfect my Pinterest descriptions, personal entries and letters, and my next book! For those of you that don’t know, I’m also an author. I completed an edit of my next book, strictly to perfect the content, and now I’m using Grammarly to take care of the rest! Even with paying for a premium account, I am savings hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on rounds of editing. Grammarly is saving me so much time and money in the entire process!

Now, let me share all the awesome features that Grammarly Premium has for you:

  • Plagiarism detection (excellent for bloggers and students)
  • Improved wording suggestions
  • Detection of overly-used words and phrases
  • Grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure corrections (complete with explanations so you understand and can actually improve your knowledge!)
  •  Add your own personal vocabulary
  • Compatible with Microsoft Office
  • Access your Grammarly account through multiple devices
  • Available on most websites – I check my blogs without ever having to leave my website!

It’s rare that I get so excited about a product, but writing and blogging are becoming my livelihood, and Grammarly is helping me work smarter, not harder. It is a complete game-changer in the writing & blogging world! Give it a try and let me know what you think!
